I have a dream.....

I saw the fullfillment of a dream tonight. I have long dreamed of seeing what it takes to inspire students to greatness and to look beyond themselves to the greater good and unite under a common banner. Tonight I saw the Orting student body, drop clicks, groups and social status to rally behind the soccer team and cheer them to victory. Through this narrow window I saw the utopia of high school. It wasn't about who was cooler or better but that WE were going to win. The feeling is irreplacable and I will long treasure that vision in my heart. My prayer is that one day I will see this vision come to pass behind the banner of Christ and students with the common bond of Jesus will lift each other in celebration because WE have one the battle. Through the fire of adversity, the heart of the champion is forged.
