The journey begins

We started the journey of 2800 miles today toward the physical location of Alabama. But we also continued the spiritual journey God has been taking us on over the last few years. It was very hard to leave the students we have grown to love as friends. It was a day that we will never forget as it points to the fact that God's grace is sufficient. We love all of you and miss you dearly already.

In the journey, we had a difficult start. Upon hooking up the trailers we discovered that the 4Runner was not strong enough to carry the Jeep so at 12:00we began the search for a new truck as pictured above. Fianlly at 5:00 we got on the road and hit a great deal of traffic coming through Olympia. We finally arrived at the KOA in Astoria Oregon at 10:30 pm. It has been a tiring day, but we know that we are on the jouney of a lifetime.
