A new adventure to live

According to John Eldredge every man needs an adventure to live. After months and months of praying, frustration and discussions with my overly patient wife, I believe God has shown me the next step in my adventure as he writes His story through my life. While I don't completely know what this will look like, I do feel that God is showing me some of why he created me as He did. I am excited for this new step and will post more as I see how God brings about this change in my life.

Pictures for Mom

I am putting this on here for my mother. This is one of the reasons that I started this up so we cna communicate things to family more easily. In case anyone is wondering, we are potty training Dax this weekend so this will be interesting.

This picture is Dax building a snowman with the teenagers
and a random auburn outfit one. Enjoy

Thinking is highly over rated

Farah and I had a discussion this weekend about the inordinate amount of time my brain is thinking. I am talking to the extreme that I have solved world problems several times over and found the supporting reasons for each solution as well as the negatives to my proposed solution. I cannot shut my brain off to ever be where I am. I am always thinking about what I want to be or do when I grow up. (I'm 27) I am somehow cursed to think of a million dofferent plans to rid myself of the boundries of this world and pursue the use of my gifts and talents only to come crashing back into why I can't as my brain spirals out of control. Anyway, in order to free my brain i will do what managers do so well, pass the buck. Give me some thoughts on what a 27 year old with a passion for teenagers and a unique problem solving ability can do to better the world. And yes I've thought about single handedly dismanteling the MTV empire, but I know David Hasselhoff would be distraught. Post a thought and a Dr. Pepper will magically appear on your desk. (Wink, wink)

Move Right for Sirens and Lights

Have you ever been amazed by the fact that everyone who drives knows to move to the right when an emergency vehicle passes? I saw a fire truck today and from 200 yards away people began to move. No selfishness of schedule or task got in the way of this trucks purpose to save lives. I want to learn to do the same thing with Christ. To be able to spot Him from 200 yards away and move to the right so he can accomplsih his life saving mission.

Maiden Voyage

This is the first post to this site and I am looking for something fun, witty and meaningful to say all at the same time. I, ironically enough, am none of those things so trying to create something of that nature will cetainly turn out badly. I hope this site will allow me to better connect with friends and family and keep everyone up to date.
